Communion happens as hands break bread to share bodily and soulful sustenance. It is the way we slow down, carve out the time, make travel and preparation efforts, and find each other again. Communion 2021 is a 12 x 18 full color calendar that pays tribute to all the people I unite to break bread with. The calendar includes intimate photoshoots I have had with some of my closest friends in life. The images illustrate that even though 2020 was a year that kept us apart and rather “distant”, I continue to have trust in my relationships through the moments we have shared not only physically but as well as spiritually. If we aren’t together in a physical sense our spirits will always be tied.
